Men's skincare tips

Men’s skin

Are you a male in your 40’s if so your skin is still young enough to look healthy and vibrant, but you’ve also started to develop some noticeable, “character lines” around your eyes, possibly even your mouth?

What can I do to improve my skin?

Step 1: Avoid overworking, under-sleeping, drinking too much and smoking.
Step 2: Develop a nutrition and exercise plan that you can be consistent with
Step 3: Drink more water.
Step 4: Find some quality skin care products  that you like that don’t contain Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, Parabens or other ingredients that may sensitise your skin.

Men's Skin Care.

If you’re ready to start : Go for a  vitamin C Serum or a Anti-Ageing Moisturiser and a 15 + SPF to use every morning and get some advanced skin care that will only take you two-minutes a day to use.
Go and treat yourself to a professional facial once a month.

Glowing and Radiant Skin-

Avoid Harsh Products

Don’t listen to all those ads telling you to use particular products .Try to use chemical free skincare as chemicals are not good for your skin and may give you temporary artificial boosts but they’ll leave your skin dull and unhealthy in the long run. Instead use simple moisturizers and oils made from natural products, on the same note use simple PH balanced soaps and face wash. Avoid excess sun exposure and use gentle sunscreens.

Exfoliate

One of the main reasons your skin may look dull is because of dead cells. Exfoliation will remove these dead cells along with other ‘skin pollutants’ and give you an instant glow. Use a mild scrub containing organic materials. Remember to go easy on the skin and do not scrub too hard. Try to do this twice a week.

Face Masks

Use face masks whenever you can, they’ll leave your skin feeling fresh and rejuvenated. Use face masks made from natural ingredients free of chemicals.

Eat Well

A healthy skin is a glowing skin! Avoid oily processed and junk foods and instead get more fresh juices and vegetables. Ensure sure to get your daily Vitamin C (oranges, lemons, tomatoes) as they are extremely important for your skin. Remember to drink 8 glasses of water daily.

Exercise

Exercising improves the blood flow in your body and leaves your skin looking much better, healthier and radiant. The best recommended one is jogging in the morning since cardio improves your blood flow the most and the fresh air leaves your skin feeling rejuvenated.

Sleep and Stress

Make getting your 8 hours of daily sleep a priority. Not getting enough sleep causes your skin to appear dull and unhealthy. In addition to this avoid stress in your daily life and stay away from harmful substances such as cigarettes, alcohol and try lowering your caffeine intake.
Biologically, your testosterone has begun to drop, but can be managed with a good degree of consistent exercise. The skin does begin to get thinner, less firm and less even in tone. Keeping yourself hydrated with water is as important now as it ever has been. On the plus side, eating healthy is much easier for you than it was when junk food ruled the day. Eating healthy fats including organic olive oil and coconut oil can help keep your skin looking healthy because of the Omega-3’s and antioxidants found inside.

Some things to avoid:

Overwork and Under-sleep: This may be a habit carried over from the dues-paying days of your twenties and thirties, or it may be because of the high-level of responsibilities you have in your career. Either way, it must be managed more effectively for your overall health.

Drinking too much: Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. Crazy benders were the name of the game a while back, but now moderation is a virtue that pays off.

Smoking: Stop.

If you haven’t already started a consistent men’s skin care regime, your forties are a perfect time to get on the plan because it’s not too late. You can still have fantastic and healthy looking skin that gets noticed.
